How is the estimate worked out?
We add up the time a typical business like yours needs over a year: site visits and inspections, keeping risk assessments and policies current, advice and legal updates, RAMS, training and any accreditation schemes. Then we divide it by twelve.
What is a competent person?
Every employer must appoint someone competent to help them meet their health and safety duties. For most small and medium businesses that’s an external consultant on a monthly partnership agreement.
